| 1937 FORD CONVERTIBLE – My Mom got out the family Kodak Brownie camera
and shot this in 1950. My sister Dorothy and brother Jim are in the
foreground, Dad is under the hood and that’s me, looking as cool as only
a 15 year old can look, behind the wheel of his first car. Dad bought
me my first car, the Ford, for $150. With a V-8, 3 on the floor,
and no driver’s license, I spent a lot of time power sliding the gravel
roads of Crescent City.
